Social Tech Impact Lab - New York City
Research Lab at The New School/Parsons School of Design
As founder and lead researcher of the Social Tech Impact Lab, an interdisciplinary research initiative built on more than two decades of scholarship, launched and directed research on the social, cultural, and behavioral impacts of digital technologies. Recent and current investigations include Gen Z's simultaneous adoption and resistance to AI, the long-term consequences of growing up digital, and the influence of the content industry on culture.
Hinge/GEMIC, New York City
Technology - Social Networking
As lead researcher on Hinge's 2026 Gen Z D.A.T.E. Report in collaboration with GEMIC, advised on the development of a large-scale study examining dating attitudes, behaviors, and relationship expectations among young adults. Responsibilities include shaping the research agenda, designing survey instruments, synthesizing findings, and translating research into strategic insights.
Bloc.io, San Francisco (Acquired by Thinkful - Chegg, Inc.)
Technology - Education
Led a mixed-methods study examining gender disparities in coding bootcamps. Combined analysis of internal data with research on technology education and workforce development to identify barriers to participation and opportunities for growth. Findings informed strategic planning, program development, and organizational positioning. The company was acquired by Thinkful, which is now part of Chegg.
Geffner Group, San Diego - Boulder
Professional Services - Executive Consulting
Co-designed a time-sensitive study examining how executives and senior managers respond to overlapping economic, technological, geopolitical, and organizational disruptions. The research identified emerging leadership challenges, decision-making patterns, and strategic priorities under conditions of sustained uncertainty.

Supported research and strategic positioning for a digital tutoring platform during a period of rapid international growth. Research on online education, language learning, and user behavior informed market and communications strategies as Preply expanded across the U.S. and international markets on its way to unicorn status.

Technology - Finance
Supported content and communications strategy for an early-stage AI-powered content platform. Combined editorial expertise with audience research and content personalization to strengthen product communications and market positioning. The company was acquired by FMG.
Humanscale, New York City
Manufacturing - Design
Advised on brand, narrative, and communications strategy for a global ergonomic design company. Projects included developing the Humanscale Living consumer platform, articulating the company's design philosophy and product positioning, and translating research into strategic initiatives and public-facing communications across digital and print media.

Supported strategic communications and knowledge translation for a real estate technology company. Projects included content strategy for the corporate website and editorial platforms, Market Insight and 6sqft, while translating research on housing, urban development, architecture, and market trends into accessible resources for professional and consumer audiences.
